Teen Night at Lakeside Jr. High 09/23/2010
Join the fun at the Junior High on Saturday, October 23rd from 7:30pm till 10:00pm. Dance with live DJ, light show, basketball and much more. Open to 7th and 8th graders only (student ID required). Hey everyone, It's been almost a year since the Ryan Project made their official public launch, and on May 26th at 9 am, The Ryan Project Board of Directors will be holding their First Annual Report at the Little Elm Community Center. Well everyone, I'm proud to say that we are 95% complete with Teen Nite! On March 6th, we will be hosting the event at Collin Powell Intermediate. We hope to make this a longtime established event here in Little Elm and we hope to see Little Elm teenagers show up! The last Teen Nite meeting was excellent! Lots of teenagers came and submitted their ideas for Teen Nite. We will holding one more Teen Nite planning meeting on January 28th at Collin Powell Intermediate, just for purposes of final inputs, logistics and know what Little Elm residents want to officially name Teen Nite as. By now, I imagine most of you have been wondering what the Ryan Project has been up to recently. Our biggest project has been forming together "Teen Nite". For the month of September, The Ryan Project Executive Board has been meeting to arrange "Teen Nite" in Little Elm. The business plan is in it's final shape and as soon as the official copy is released, you'll see it here first. T-shirts and other Ryan Project items are being shipped now. Once we get the materials in, you'll be able to order them. Teen Court is now up and running! It meets on every 3rd and 4th Monday of the Month at 5:30pm at the Municipal Court, located in Little Elm Town Hall. (100 W Eldorado, Little Elm, TX 75068). If you know teenagers who want to get in on practicing as a lawyer, bailiff or juror, show them the Teen Court page here. We are taking in students now and are holding regular training sessions. One of our long awaited requests has been granted! We now have a process of donating to The Ryan Project and have a way for you to sign on as an official member. We've been having to jump through a number of hoops for our PayPal account, but once we can get it live, that option will also be available.
